Honky Tonkin’ Retro Country in Northern Colorado

Trucker’s Daughter is (left to right): Bob Montgomery (bass, accordion), Josh Long (electric guitar), Michele Crockett (vocals, rhythm guitar), and Harry Crockett (vocals, fiddle)

Trucker’s Daughter is a “new retro” country band.

They call to mind a Saturday night at an old honky tonk with a seasoned hardwood dance floor and refreshing $2 beers.

With a mix of old classics, only the best of the new Nashville, and some acclaimed originals, Trucker’s Daughter cuts to the heart of country music with top-shelf vocals and a hand-crafted song selection.

Trucker’s Daughter features original songs and lead vocals by Michele Crockett, with her husband Harry Crockett on fiddle and vocals. Guitar whiz Josh Long sets the stage aflame with barn-burning guitar work on classics like Merle Haggard’s “I’m Bringing Home Good News” and Wanda Jackson’s “Fujiyama Mama.” Bob “Fireball” Montgomery tears it up on the upright bass—and occasionally one of his 12 accordions. (Jambalaya, anyone?)

Trucker’s Daughter has two albums out, “Broken Down Love,” and their 2019 release “You’re Not Always On My Mind,” both produced by Aaron Youngberg at Swingfingers Studio.

Keeping the dance floor packed is paramount for Trucker’s Daughter, leading this talented group to serve for more than a decade as the house band at Larry Mahan’s annual holiday party during the National Western Stock Show in Denver. They are regulars at Swing Station in Fort Collins, and have played festivals (New West Fest, FoCoMX, Greeley Stampede), breweries (Equinox, Soul Squared), and bars (Swing Station, Lander Bar, Oskar Blues).
